Imagery data from Spatial Energy is provided through Spatial
On Demand (www.spatialondemand.com),
an online service providing access to the energy industry’s
largest archive of imagery data from leading satellite and aerial
providers, including DigitalGlobe’s QuickBird satellite, GeoEye’s
IKONOS and OrbView-3 satellites, SPOT and UltraCam. Through Spatial
On Demand, users can quickly and easily search for available imagery
and order it online. The imagery can then be imported, viewed, manipulated
and analyzed using leading desktop solutions such as Google Earth,
Global Mapper, ESRI ArcView, Virtual Earth and others. Spatial On
Demand is hosted through DataDoors™, i-cubed’s flexible
framework that integrates distributed geographic data management
– discovery, acquisition, processing, analysis and modeling,
delivery.
Spatial On Demand features a worldwide map and intuitive navigation
tools for selecting a desired area of interest (AOI). Upon selecting
an AOI, a list of available imagery from multiple providers is displayed.
Users can then select the scenes of interest and view the images
online. To complete the order, users can select the desired image
processing options and output file format.
In addition, energy companies can also host all of their imagery
data – public and proprietary – on Spatial On Demand,
a centralized, secure site. Such hosting eliminates silos of imagery
data within an enterprise and thereby enables energy companies to
efficiently and cost effectively store, manage, and provide access
to all of its imagery. Through Spatial On Demand, end-users can
focus on their jobs rather than locating and managing data and realize
maximum utilization of imagery data purchases. Programs such as
the Energy Partner Program (EPP) - an annual imagery subscription
program, and BasinWatch – a cost-sharing program, further
simplify and reduce the cost of acquiring imagery.
